Roofing in Nocatee, FL

Nocatee is the master-planned town between Ponte Vedra and the Intracoastal, developed by The PARC Group on 14,000 acres with 60 percent set aside as conservation land. Construction began in 2006, and by late 2025 the community was about 96 percent sold with roughly 13,000 homes at build-out. The houses are frame and block from 2007 to today, under architectural shingle almost without exception, with concrete tile on some of the larger villages and standing seam on a few recent builds. Every village has an architectural review.

Nocatee sits inland of the barrier strip and does not take surge, but it took wind from Matthew in October 2016, Irma in September 2017, and Milton's gusts in October 2024. The first wave of roofs, from 2007 to 2012, is now reaching the age where seal strips let go on the north slopes and insurers start asking the year. Nor'easters off the coast four miles east find those slopes first.

This site connects Nocatee homeowners with an independent local roofing contractor by phone. It does not perform the work.

Nocatee roofing, one shingle wave and the committee

A lifted course on a 2008 roof after a windy week is a roof repair with matching shingle. A 2007 roof that has failed on three sides is a roof replacement with the village committee's approval before the county permit. A 2010s roof that has never had a wind mitigation form is paying more than it should on the wind line.
