Marsh Creek is the gated golf community on the river side of Anastasia Island, about 800 acres along the Intracoastal marsh with roughly 650 single-family homes around an 18-hole course. It was laid out in the 1980s and built through the 1990s and 2000s, and it is the island's only gated golf neighborhood. The houses are mostly concrete block and frame under architectural shingle, with concrete tile on the larger Mediterranean-style homes and some standing seam on recent rebuilds. The marsh side is quieter in a storm than the oceanfront, but it is low, and the humidity off the Intracoastal carries salt.
