Anastasia Island runs fourteen miles from the St. Augustine Inlet to the Matanzas Inlet, and it holds most of the county's beach housing. At the north end are Davis Shores and the Lighthouse Park cottages, inside the city limits. Then the state park's 1,600 acres of dune and hammock, the City of St. Augustine Beach, and south of that the unincorporated stretch through Butler Beach, Treasure Beach, and Crescent Beach.
